Cooking up a storm: Coventry Food Festival set to return this July with TV celeb chefs.

Hosting a range of artisan food producers in the region, with dedicated zones for gluten-free and vegan produce, street food, and some of the finest producers of cheese to chutney, scotch eggs to brownies, also offering bars, cocktails, demonstrations and live music!

Not a great cook? No problem, Celebrity Michelin Star chef, Theo Randall, will be taking the headline slot on Saturday and Lesley Waters showcasing her skills on Sunday. A range of chefs will be joining us over the weekend to share their cooking knowledge, ideas and inspiration with us through live demonstrations. Don your chef whites!

Following the huge success of the Festival in 2019, where the city welcomed thousands* of additional visitors into the centre, the Coventry BID team is looking to make this year’s event bigger and better than ever.

After what has been an incredibly tough year for businesses throughout the city and region, particularly in the food and drink sector, the Coventry Food Festival is part of the BID’s toolbox to recovery, as the city comes back to life post-COVID and as it enters its UK City of Culture year.

Kicking off on Friday 23rd July, the Festival is aiming to host the largest selection of artisan food producers in the region. With dedicated zones for gluten-free and vegan produce, visitors will be able to eat their way around the world with stunning street food and some of the finest producers of cheese, chutney, eggs and sweet treats – all served with pop-up bars, cocktails, demonstrations and live music.

FOOD AS COMMUNITY

Food has a special ability to bring people together. There will be something for everyone from cheese to chutney, scotch eggs to brownies. There will be food choices from around the world including Indian, Mexican, Greek, German, Chinese, and many more. And let’s not forget the drinks offer available with beers, ales, wine, gin, lemonades, slush and more.

COOKING DEMONSTRATIONS

The cookery demonstration stage will have a packed line-up with celebrity and local chefs working from the same stage. Michelin Star chef Theo Randall taking the headline slot on Saturday and Lesley Waters on Sunday.
