Running on Saturdays, young people aged 8-11 can stretch their creativity, improve their confidence, learn new skills and make new friends! the Belgrade's Youth Acting Classes have been devised by government guidelines on COVID-19.

Forget the January blues, The Belgrade theatre is going to start the New Year with laughter! Our Spring Term of Youth Acting Classes will allow young people to explore wacky and wonderful Comedy Characters. Using elements of clowning, stand-up, improvisation and slapstick, they will build their very own comedy creations and bring them to life.

Youth Acting Classes are led by experienced DBS checked practitioners in the Belgrade’s safe and professional theatre. No previous drama experience is necessary to take part. Just bring comfortable clothing and footwear, a bottle of water, and be ready to have fun!

All participants will receive additional information about what to expect under these COVID-19 circumstances ahead of the start of sessions.

For young people to get the most from these activities, the groups are separated by age based on school years. Participants are welcome to join the 8-11s group while they are at Primary school, including when they’re in Year 6. If a young person is in Year 7 and above, they can join the 11-16s group.

Please note, places are limited so early booking is essential. To find out more information, please visit the Belgrade Theater website.

At the Belgrade, the safety of our customers and staff remains our top priority. When you visit the Belgrade you will find safety measures in place throughout the building, including Track and Trace, social distancing and the wearing of face coverings. We will continue to follow government guidelines and have signed up to UK Theatre’s See It Safely campaign to ensure that you can enjoy the wonderful experience of live theatre safely. Find out more about the safety measures we have in place here.
