We have put together a list of different types of valentines so that you can find the perfect thing to do in Coventry.
The Competitive Couple
Perfect for doing something a little different this Valentine's Weekend, Escape Live are offering free Prosecco, chocolates and some secret surprises that guarantee to get the hearts racing this Valentine's. Use your logic and your wit to navigate your way and beat the room! If a time limit is not something you’re looking for, why not try a bit of bouldering at The Ballroom? A dedicated bouldering centre in the heart of Coventry, is open all week for new and experienced climbers. It’s an ideal space to try something new with your date.
The Food Lovers
There are so many places to eat and drink in Coventry, that it’s difficult to choose. A selection of restaurants have made their offer this Valentine’s even more special with chocolates and flowers to woo your loved-one - Bella Italia and Bistrot Pierre are just two of them. If cocktails are more your thing, why not head over to The Botanist, one of the most beautiful restaurants in the city with a stream and bandstands complete with live players, who specialise in cocktail making.
The Sport Fans
Teezers Golf is an 18-hole retro themed, adults only (strictly over 18s) mini golf course, created from all your favourite memories of yesteryears in the centre of Coventry. With cocktails, delicious street food and quirky courses to complete, it’s the ideal place to get playfully competitive with your loved one. If cheering a team on in a crowd is more your type sporting activity, the Ricoh Arena is the place to be. The Wasps Rugby club take on the Sale Sharks on Saturday 23 February, so it’s the ideal game to celebrate Valentine’s.
The Luxury Lovers
The origins of Coombe Abbey can be traced way back to 1150AD. The hotel, surrounded by acres of woodland and landscaped gardens, prides itself on its dramatic and regal history. Offering events and experiences like no-other, for this year’s Valentine’s Day Coombe Abbey gives you lots to choose from. How about treating yourself and your loved one to a St. Valentine’s Candlelit Dinner, complete with cocktail and canapés upon arrival? Or perhaps a St. Valentine’s Afternoon Tea, featuring delicious finger sandwiches, a selection of cakes and a freshly baked scone? Or why not make a weekend of it and indulge in a Valentine’s Romantic Stay, complete with dinner, bed and breakfast at the gorgeous hotel.
The Theatre-Goers
If you are partial to a date full of thrills, the Belgrade Theatre have you covered. The House on Cold Hill runs from the 13 February until 16 February, perfect for Valentine’s Day and Valentine’s weekend. A spine-chilling thriller which features Joe McFadden and Rita Simons, whose characters move into their perfect home and before long begin questioning whether they are the only residents on Cold Hill. Or if laughing all night long with your loved one is more your style, the razor-sharp new comedy Octopus Soup is the show for you. With double-belt wearing Seymour, safest man on earth, Marvin the bungling burgler with bad knees, the neurotic actress Gloria, and a share of £30 billion on the insurance market at stake, what could possibly go wrong?
