Pancake Day is round the corner and Coventry is home to venues who offer delicious sweet and savoury pancakes.

From the traditional Pancake Day classic with sugar and lemon, to more indulgent sweet treats and if sweet isn’t your bag at all, we also have some delicious savoury crepe creations to share with you.

Creams - The dessert place Creams is a wonderland of sweet treats, sundaes, puddings waffles and delicious crepe pancakes. There are many choices of pancake topping, from the Crepe au royale, featuring Ferrero Rochers, to the humbler yet no less delicious Canadian, with freshly sliced strawberries drizzled with maple syrup. There are lots more to choose from, but if somehow they don’t have what you fancy on the menu, you can customise your crepe for a truly personal indulgent experience.

Jam Jar – Another delicious place dedicated to all things sweet, Jam Jar offers crepes piled high with naughty but nice goodies. From fresh fruit to cream to drizzles of sweet sauces and lashings of chocolate to scoops of ice-cream, the crepes here are some of the ultimate in Coventry. All of their desserts are beautifully presented, meaning that your Instagram feed can feature some pretty spectacular looking pancake creations this Pancake Day.

Sprinkles – Known locally for the big display of tasty ice-cream, Sprinkles creates crepes using their own secret recipe and you have the option of accompanying your pancake with either vanilla ice cream, freshly whipped cream or upgrade for £1 to choose one of their many gelato flavours from the cabinet. The menu gives you lots of choose from, from the Strawberry Creation to Brownie Heaven, there are lots of sweet treats to whet your appetite.

Crepefresh – The only venue on our list to offer truly savoury pancakes, Crepefresh is well worth a visit. Focussing on wholesome and healthy foods, it offers an extensive list of sweet and savoury options, including the Popeye Crepe with Spinach, tomato, carrot & falafel the Teriyaki Crepe and the Mexican crepe, there are lots of flavours to get excited about.

Cosy Club – Coventry’s Cosy Club offer triple-stacked buttermilk pancakes for breakfast all year round, with berry compote, banana and creme fraiche or smoked streaky bacon and maple syrup, it’s a lip-smacking choice for this pancake day.

Hickory’s Smokehouse – Specialising in the tastes of deep south America, the breakfast pancakes here don’t hold back. The second venue on our list to serve a large stack of buttermilk pancakes come complete with blueberry compote & cream or bacon & maple syrup and will most definitely keep you full up until lunch time.
